The dice are thrown into the lap, ¹  but their every decision ²  is from the Lord. ³ 

Also, when I cry out desperately ¹  for help, ²  he has shut out my prayer. ³ 

For he is not predisposed to afflict ¹  or to grieve people. ² 

For this reason whoever is smart ¹  keeps quiet ²  in such a time, for it is an evil ³  time.

and he begins to beat his fellow slaves and to eat and drink with drunkards,

As ¹  he rode along, they ²  spread their cloaks on the road.

The Jewish leaders ¹  picked up rocks again to stone him to death.

So you, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

then the priest is to command that the stones that had the infection in them be pulled and thrown ¹  outside the city ²  into an unclean place.

or with any stone large enough that a man could die, without seeing him, and throws it at him, and he dies, even though he was not his enemy nor sought his harm,

The witnesses ¹  must be first to begin the execution, and then all the people ²  are to join in afterward. In this way you will purge evil from among you.

He called his personal attendant and said to him, “Take this woman out of my sight ¹  and lock the door behind her!”

When I catch up with ¹  him he will be exhausted and worn out. ²  I will rout him, and the entire army that is with him will flee. I will kill only the king

Look how they are repaying us! They come to drive us out of our allotted land which you assigned to us!

Because God has untied ¹  my tent cord and afflicted me, people throw off all restraint in my presence. ² 

May he rain down ¹  fiery coals upon them! May he throw them into the fire! From bottomless pits they will not escape. ² 

But look, there is outright celebration! ¹  You say, “Kill the ox and slaughter the sheep, eat meat and drink wine. Eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!” ² 

Know for certain that ¹  I hereby give you the authority to announce to nations and kingdoms that they will be ²  uprooted and torn down, destroyed and demolished, rebuilt and firmly planted.” ³
