This is what the Lord says: “The prophets who mislead my people are as good as dead. ¹  If someone gives them enough to eat, they offer an oracle of peace. ²  But if someone does not give them food, they are ready to declare war on him. ³ 

On the first day of the week, each of you should set aside some income ¹  and save ²  it to the extent that God has blessed you, ³  so that a collection will not have to be made ⁴  when I come.

So here is my opinion on this matter: It is to your advantage, since you ¹  made a good start last year both in your giving and your desire to give,

But from those who were influential ¹  (whatever they were makes no difference to me; God shows no favoritism between people ² ) – those influential leaders ³  added ⁴  nothing to my message. ⁵ 

and in front of the throne was something like a sea of glass, like crystal. ¹  In ²  the middle of the throne ³  and around the throne were four living creatures ⁴  full of eyes in front and in back.

Then the men of the garrison said to Jonathan and his armor bearer, “Come on up to us so we can teach you a thing or two!” ¹  Then Jonathan said to his armor bearer, “Come up behind me, for the Lord has given ²  them into the hand of Israel!”

He then said to him, “Come home with me and eat something.”

But I ¹  am a worm, ²  not a man; ³  people insult me and despise me. ⁴ 

They wander around looking for something to eat; they refuse to sleep until they are full. ¹ 

If you strike ¹  him with the rod, you will deliver him ²  from death. ³ 

It is better for you not to vow than to vow and not pay it. ¹ 

When that time comes, ¹  sing about a delightful vineyard! ²

They will say, ¹  ‘This man ²  began to build and was not able to finish!’ ³ 

Therefore do not let what you consider good ¹  be spoken of as evil.

So then, my dear friends, flee from idolatry.

For in fact the body is not a single member, but many.

For God did not call us to impurity but in holiness.

but with good deeds, as is proper for women who profess reverence for God.

Then ¹  I saw something like a sea of glass ²  mixed with fire, and those who had conquered ³  the beast and his image and the number of his name. They were standing ⁴  by ⁵  the sea of glass, holding harps given to them by God. ⁶
