Then Esther was taken to King Ahasuerus at his royal residence in the tenth ¹  month (that is, the month of Tebeth) in the seventh ²  year of his reign.

In the third ¹  year of the reign of King Jehoiakim of Judah, King Nebuchadnezzar ²  of Babylon advanced against Jerusalem ³  and laid it under siege. ⁴

Ahaz was twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned for sixteen years in Jerusalem. ¹  He did not do what pleased the Lord his God, in contrast to his ancestor David. ² 

He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. ¹  His mother ²  was Abi, ³  the daughter of Zechariah.

Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned for eleven years in Jerusalem. ¹  He did evil in the sight of ²  the Lord his God.

and all the cities of King Sihon of the Amorites who ruled in Heshbon, and ended at the Ammonite border.

I will select ¹  you; you will rule over all you desire to have and you will be king over Israel.

In the fourth year of King Ahab’s reign over Israel, Asa’s son Jehoshaphat became king over Judah.

He hid out with his nurse in the Lord’s temple ¹  for six years, while Athaliah was ruling over the land.

He remained in hiding in God’s temple ¹  for six years, while Athaliah was ruling over the land.

The Lord reigns! Let the earth be happy! Let the many coastlands rejoice!

Abimelech commanded ¹  Israel for three years.
