Nevertheless the Lord will evict her and shove her fortifications ¹  into the sea – she will be consumed by fire.

“Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, the way by the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles –

Jesus ¹  went out again by the sea. The whole crowd came to him, and he taught them.

When evening came, the boat was in the middle of the sea and he was alone on the land.

This man is staying as a guest with a man named Simon, a tanner, ¹  whose house is by the sea.”

We put out to sea ¹  from Troas ²  and sailed a straight course ³  to Samothrace, ⁴  the next day to Neapolis, ⁵ 

From there we put out to sea ¹  and sailed under the lee ²  of Cyprus because the winds were against us.

After we had sailed across the open sea ¹  off Cilicia and Pamphylia, ²  we put in ³  at Myra ⁴  in Lycia. ⁵ 

When they had eaten enough to be satisfied, ¹  they lightened the ship by throwing the wheat ²  into the sea.

For every kind of animal, bird, reptile, and sea creature ¹  is subdued and has been subdued by humankind. ² 

and a third of the creatures ¹  living in the sea died, and a third of the ships were completely destroyed. ² 

Then ¹  the angel I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven

So Moses extended his hand toward the sea, and the sea returned to its normal state ¹  when the sun began to rise. ²  Now the Egyptians were fleeing ³  before it, but the Lord overthrew ⁴  the Egyptians in the middle of the sea.

Joseph stored up a vast amount of grain, like the sand of the sea, ¹  until he stopped measuring it because it was impossible to measure.

Zebulun will live ¹  by the haven of the sea and become a haven for ships; his border will extend to Sidon. ² 

So the Israelites went through the middle of the sea on dry ground, the water forming a wall ¹  for them on their right and on their left.

The Egyptians chased them and followed them into the middle of the sea – all the horses of Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.

The Lord said to Moses, “Extend your hand toward the sea, so that the waters may flow ¹  back on the Egyptians, on their chariots, and on their horsemen!”

But the Israelites walked on dry ground in the middle of the sea, the water forming a wall for them on their right and on their left.

So the Lord saved ¹  Israel on that day from the power ²  of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead ³  on the shore of the sea.
