And in hell, ¹  as he was in torment, ²  he looked up ³  and saw Abraham far off with Lazarus at his side. ⁴ 

When ¹  he saw them he said, “Go ²  and show yourselves to the priests.” ³  And ⁴  as they went along, they were cleansed.

Now people ¹  were even bringing their babies ²  to him for him to touch. ³  But when the disciples saw it, they began to scold those who brought them. ⁴ 

And immediately he regained ¹  his sight and followed Jesus, ²  praising ³  God. When ⁴  all the people saw it, they too ⁵  gave praise to God.

And when the people ¹  saw it, they all complained, ²  “He has gone in to be the guest of a man who is a sinner.” ³ 

But when the tenants saw him, they said to one another, ‘This is the heir; let’s kill him so the inheritance will be ours!’

Then ¹  a little later someone else ²  saw him and said, “You are one of them too.” But Peter said, “Man, ³  I am not!”

And all the crowds that had assembled for this spectacle, when they saw what had taken place, returned home beating their breasts. ¹ 

And all those who knew Jesus ¹  stood at a distance, and the women who had followed him from Galilee saw ²  these things.

The ¹  women who had accompanied Jesus ²  from Galilee followed, and they saw the tomb and how his body was laid in it.

But Peter got up and ran to the tomb. ¹  He bent down ²  and saw only the strips of linen cloth; ³  then he went home, ⁴  wondering ⁵  what had happened. ⁶ 

On the next day John ¹  saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God ²  who takes away the sin of the world!

Nathanael asked him, “How do you know me?” Jesus replied, ¹  “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, ²  I saw you.”

Jesus said to him, ¹  “Because I told you that I saw you under the fig tree, do you believe? You will see greater things than these.” ² 

Now while Jesus ¹  was in Jerusalem ²  at the feast of the Passover, many people believed in his name because they saw the miraculous signs he was doing. ³ 

When Jesus saw her weeping, and the people ¹  who had come with her weeping, he was intensely moved ²  in spirit and greatly distressed. ³ 

So when Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing there, he said to his mother, “Woman, ¹  look, here is your son!”

And the person who saw it ¹  has testified (and his testimony is true, and he ²  knows that he is telling the truth), ³  so that you also may believe.

Then Simon Peter, who had been following him, arrived and went right into the tomb. He saw ¹  the strips of linen cloth lying there,

And she saw two angels in white sitting where Jesus’ body had been lying, one at the head and one at the feet.
