When Pilate heard these words he brought Jesus outside and sat down on the judgment seat ¹  in the place called “The Stone Pavement” ²  (Gabbatha in ³  Aramaic). ⁴ 

For we have heard him saying that Jesus the Nazarene will destroy this place and change the customs ¹  that Moses handed down to us.”

When ¹  he saw one of them being hurt unfairly, ²  Moses ³  came to his defense ⁴  and avenged the person who was mistreated by striking down the Egyptian.

So he ordered the chariot to stop, and both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, ¹  and Philip baptized ²  him.

But his disciples took him at night and let him down through an opening ¹  in the wall by lowering him in a basket. ² 

Now ¹  as Peter was traveling around from place to place, ²  he also came down to the saints who lived in Lydda. ³ 

He ¹  saw heaven ²  opened ³  and an object something like a large sheet ⁴  descending, ⁵  being let down to earth ⁶  by its four corners.

So Peter went down ¹  to the men and said, “Here I am, ²  the person you’re looking for. Why have you come?”

On a day determined in advance, Herod ¹  put on his royal robes, ²  sat down on the judgment seat, ³  and made a speech ⁴  to them.

Immediately an angel of the Lord ¹  struck ²  Herod ³  down because he did not give the glory to God, and he was eaten by worms and died. ⁴ 

So Barnabas and Saul, ¹  sent out by the Holy Spirit, went down to Seleucia, ²  and from there they sailed to Cyprus. ³ 

Moving on from ¹  Perga, ²  they arrived at Pisidian Antioch, ³  and on the Sabbath day they went into ⁴  the synagogue ⁵  and sat down.

When they had accomplished ¹  everything that was written ²  about him, they took him down ³  from the cross ⁴  and placed him ⁵  in a tomb.

So when the crowds saw what Paul had done, they shouted ¹  in the Lycaonian language, ²  “The gods have come down to us in human form!” ³ 

Now some men came down from Judea ¹  and began to teach the brothers, “Unless you are circumcised ²  according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.”

So when they were dismissed, ¹  they went down to Antioch, ²  and after gathering the entire group ³  together, they delivered the letter.

and when he arrived ¹  at Caesarea, ²  he went up and greeted ³  the church at Jerusalem ⁴  and then went down to Antioch. ⁵ 

But Paul went down, ¹  threw himself ²  on the young man, ³  put his arms around him, ⁴  and said, “Do not be distressed, for he is still alive!” ⁵ 

He ¹  immediately took ²  soldiers and centurions ³  and ran down to the crowd. ⁴  When they saw ⁵  the commanding officer ⁶  and the soldiers, they stopped beating ⁷  Paul.

He replied, ¹  “The Jews have agreed to ask you to bring Paul down to the council ²  tomorrow, as if they were going to inquire more thoroughly about him.
