A servant ¹  cannot be corrected ²  by words, for although ³  he understands, there is no answer. ⁴ 

Do not slander ¹  a servant to his master, lest he curse you, and you are found guilty. ² 

under a servant ¹  who becomes king, under a fool who is stuffed with food, ² 

“At that time ¹  I will summon my servant Eliakim, son of Hilkiah.

Send me cedars, evergreens, and algum ¹  trees from Lebanon, for I know your servants are adept ²  at cutting down trees in Lebanon. My servants will work with your servants

Huram sent him ships and some of his sailors, men who were well acquainted with the sea. They sailed with Solomon’s men to Ophir, ¹  and took from there 450 talents ²  of gold, which they brought back to King Solomon.

So this is what the sovereign Lord says: “Look, my servants will eat, but you will be hungry! Look, my servants will drink, but you will be thirsty! Look, my servants will rejoice, but you will be humiliated!

So now take ¹  seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and offer a burnt offering for yourselves. And my servant Job will intercede ²  for you, and I will respect him, ³  so that I do not deal with you ⁴  according to your folly, ⁵  because you have not spoken about me what is right, as my servant Job has.” ⁶ 

He also said, “Worthy of praise is ¹  the Lord, the God of Shem! May Canaan be the slave of Shem! ² 

May God enlarge Japheth’s territory and numbers! ¹  May he live ²  in the tents of Shem and may Canaan be his slave!”

and he did treat Abram well ¹  on account of her. Abram received ²  sheep and cattle, male donkeys, male servants, female servants, female donkeys, and camels.

Then, during the night, ¹  Abram ²  divided his forces ³  against them and defeated them. He chased them as far as Hobah, which is north ⁴  of Damascus.
