For it seems unreasonable to me to send a prisoner without clearly indicating ¹  the charges against him.”

They also bestowed many honors, ¹  and when we were preparing to sail, ²  they gave ³  us all the supplies we needed. ⁴

Here is another way that our people ¹  can learn ²  to engage in good works to meet pressing needs and so not be unfruitful.

“Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of testing in the wilderness.

so that you may not be sluggish, ¹  but imitators of those who through faith and perseverance inherit the promises.

But Melchizedek ¹  who does not share their ancestry ²  collected a tithe ³  from Abraham and blessed ⁴  the one who possessed the promise.

So with these things prepared like this, the priests enter continually into the outer tent ¹  as they perform their duties.

By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac. He had received the promises, ¹  yet he was ready to offer up ²  his only son.
