testifying ¹  to both Jews and Greeks about repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus. ² 

But so that I may not delay ¹  you any further, I beg ²  you to hear us briefly ³  with your customary graciousness. ⁴ 

And now I stand here on trial ¹  because of my hope in the promise made by God to our ancestors, ² 

who was appointed the Son-of-God-in-power ¹  according to the Holy Spirit ²  by the resurrection ³  from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord.

¹ Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have ²  peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

But not all have obeyed the good news, for Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?” ¹ 

so that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Now I commend to you our sister Phoebe, who is a servant ¹  of the church in Cenchrea,

so that you do not lack any spiritual gift as you wait for the revelation ¹  of our Lord Jesus Christ.

He ¹  will also strengthen you to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

God is faithful, by whom you were called into fellowship with his son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

These things happened as examples for us, so that we will not crave evil things as they did.

Every day I am in danger of death! This is as sure as ¹  my boasting in you, ²  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord.

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!

But as God is faithful, our message to you is not “Yes” and “No.”

For every one of God’s promises are “Yes” in him; therefore also through him the “Amen” is spoken, to the glory we give to God.

who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a down payment. ¹ 

Not that we are adequate ¹  in ourselves to consider anything as if it were coming from ourselves, but our adequacy ²  is from God,

But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing,

Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His plea ¹  through us. We plead with you ²  on Christ’s behalf, “Be reconciled to God!”
