Now therefore reflect carefully on the recent past, ¹  before one stone was laid on another in the Lord’s temple. ² 

He lifts the weak ¹  from the dust; he raises ²  the poor from the ash heap to seat them with princes and to bestow on them an honored position. ³  The foundations of the earth belong to the Lord, and he has placed the world on them.

The primary regions ¹  of his kingdom were Babel, ²  Erech, ³  Akkad, ⁴  and Calneh ⁵  in the land of Shinar. ⁶ 

Hezekiah and all the people were happy about what God had done ¹  for them, ²  for it had been done quickly. ³ 

You made the earth quake; you split it open. ¹  Repair its breaches, for it is ready to fall. ² 

When the earth and all its inhabitants dissolve in fear, ¹  I make its pillars secure.” ²  (Selah)

to the one who spread out the earth over the water, for his loyal love endures,

Doing wickedness ¹  is an abomination to kings, because a throne ²  is established in righteousness.

So that ¹  your confidence may be in the Lord, I am making them known to you today ²  – even you.

Under three things the earth trembles, ¹  and under four things it cannot bear up:

Just as there is futility in many dreams, so also in many words. ¹  Therefore, fear God!

and the chambers of the court was 35 feet ¹  in width all around the temple on every side.

But the Lord is faithful, and he ¹  will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for, being convinced of what we do not see.

Shout the battle cry from all around the city. She will throw up her hands in surrender. ¹  Her towers ²  will fall. Her walls will be torn down. Because I, the Lord, am wreaking revenge, ³  take out your vengeance on her! Do to her as she has done!

I am going to cause very severe hail to rain down ¹  about this time tomorrow, such hail as has never occurred ²  in Egypt from the day it was founded ³  until now.

The everlasting God is a refuge, and underneath you are his eternal arms; ¹  he has driven out enemies before you, and has said, “Destroy!”

Then I will allow your dynasty to rule over Israel permanently, ¹  just as I promised your father David, ‘You will not fail to have a successor on the throne of Israel.’ ² 

Another third of you will be stationed at the Foundation ¹  Gate. Still another third of you will be stationed at the gate behind the royal guard. ²  You will take turns guarding the palace. ³ 

Then I will establish your dynasty, ¹  just as I promised your father David, ‘You will not fail to have a successor ruling over Israel.’ ²
