Whoever obeys his ¹  command will not experience harm, and a wise person ²  knows the proper time ³  and procedure.

When ¹  a sentence ²  is not executed ³  at once against a crime, ⁴  the human heart ⁵  is encouraged to do evil. ⁶ 

His left hand caresses my head, ¹  and his right hand stimulates me. ² 

So my heart constantly sighs for Moab, like the strumming of a harp, ¹  my inner being sighs ²  for Kir Hareseth. ³ 

In anger, in fury, and in wrath I myself will fight against you with my mighty power and great strength! ¹ 

But as for me, my eye will not pity them nor will I spare ¹  them; I hereby repay them for what they have done.” ² 

I will exhaust my rage on you, and then my fury will turn from you. I will calm down and no longer be angry.

In the same way, your Father in heaven is not willing that one of these little ones be lost.

But Jesus said, “Someone touched me, for I know that power has gone out ¹  from me.”

Then the disciples replied, ¹  “Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will recover.”

Reverential awe ¹  came over everyone, ²  and many wonders and miraculous signs ³  came about by the apostles.

But if you call yourself a Jew and rely on the law ¹  and boast of your relationship to God ² 

an educator of the senseless, a teacher of little children, because you have in the law the essential features of knowledge and of the truth –

I am not writing these things to shame you, but to correct you as my dear children.

So let the one who thinks he is standing be careful that he does not fall.

For this reason I ask you ¹  not to lose heart because of what I am suffering for you, ²  which ³  is your glory. ⁴ 

For God is my witness that I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.

And in the same way you also should be glad and rejoice together with me.

Fathers, ¹  do not provoke ²  your children, so they will not become disheartened.

Yet do not regard him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother. ¹
