May he grant your heart’s desire; ¹  may he bring all your plans to pass! ² 

For my enemies talk about me; those waiting for a chance to kill me plot my demise. ¹ 

They carefully plot ¹  against your people, and make plans to harm ²  the ones you cherish. ³ 

Obey the king’s command, ¹  because you took ²  an oath before God ³  to be loyal to him. ⁴ 

Who comprehends ¹  the mind ²  of the Lord, or gives him instruction as his counselor? ³ 

After ¹  consulting together they bought the Potter’s Field with it, as a burial place for foreigners.

After ¹  they had assembled with the elders and formed a plan, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers,

So ¹  the Pharisees ²  went out immediately and began plotting with the Herodians, ³  as to how they could assassinate ⁴  him.

and followed ¹  the advice of the younger ones. He said, “My father imposed heavy demands on you; I will make them even heavier. ²  My father punished you with ordinary whips; I will punish you with whips that really sting your flesh.” ³ 

Your claim to have a strategy and military strength is just empty talk. ¹  In whom are you trusting that you would dare to rebel against me?

After King Amaziah of Judah consulted with his advisers, ¹  he sent this message to the king of Israel, Joash son of Jehoahaz, the son of Jehu, “Come, face me on the battlefield.” ² 

You have also established prophets to announce ¹  in Jerusalem ²  on your behalf, ‘We have a king in Judah!’ Now the king is going to hear about these rumors. So come on! Let’s talk about this.” ³ 

In this place I will thwart ¹  the plans of the people of Judah and Jerusalem. I will deliver them over to the power of their enemies who are seeking to kill them. They will die by the sword ²  at the hands of their enemies. ³  I will make their dead bodies food for the birds and wild beasts to eat.

I say this as a concession, not as a command.
