Thus ¹  his anger burns against me, and he considers me among his enemies. ² 

¹ Yet God ²  finds occasions ³  with me; he regards me as his enemy!

See my pain and suffering! Forgive all my sins! ¹ 

Yet because of you ¹  we are killed all day long; we are treated like ²  sheep at the slaughtering block. ³ 

Who can really fathom the intensity of your anger? ¹  Your raging fury causes people to fear you. ² 

He will not consider ¹  any compensation; ²  he will not be willing, even if you multiply the compensation. ³ 

It is a snare ¹  for a person ²  to rashly cry, ³  “Holy!” and only afterward to consider ⁴  what he has vowed. ⁵ 

I considered all the living who walk on earth, ¹  as well as the successor ²  who would arise ³  in his place.

¹ O Lord, reflect on ²  what has happened to us; consider ³  and look at ⁴  our disgrace.

They wanted to arrest him, but they were afraid of the crowds, because the crowds ¹  regarded him as a prophet.

because they did not understand about the loaves, but their hearts were hardened.

Then he said to the council, ¹  “Men of Israel, ²  pay close attention to ³  what you are about to do to these men.

Why do you people ¹  think ²  it is unbelievable ³  that ⁴  God raises the dead?

¹ who though he existed in the form of God ²  did not regard equality with God as something to be grasped,

Indeed, as long as I am in this tabernacle, ¹  I consider it right to stir you up by way of a reminder,

My integrity will testify for me ¹  later on. ²  When you come to verify that I’ve taken only the wages we agreed on, ³  if I have in my possession any goat that is not speckled or spotted or any sheep that is not dark-colored, it will be considered stolen.” ⁴ 

“‘When you enter the land and plant any fruit tree, ¹  you must consider its fruit to be forbidden. ²  Three years it will be forbidden to you; ³  it must not be eaten.

Hiram then sent this message to Solomon: “I received ¹  the message you sent to me. I will give you all the cedars and evergreens you need. ² 

I have become a brother to jackals and a companion of ostriches. ¹ 

So ¹  I again considered ²  all the oppression ³  that continually occurs ⁴  on earth. ⁵  This is what I saw: ⁶  The oppressed ⁷  were in tears, ⁸  but no one was comforting them; no one delivers ⁹  them from the power of their oppressors.
