When pride ¹  comes, ²  then comes disgrace, ³  but with humility ⁴  comes ⁵  wisdom.

With pride ¹  comes only ²  contention, but wisdom is with the well-advised. ³ 

By ¹  wisdom a house is built, ²  and through understanding it is established;

I have not learned wisdom, nor do I have knowledge ¹  of the Holy One. ² 

a lizard ¹  you can catch with the hand, but it gets into the palaces of the king. ² 

Her hands ¹  take hold ²  of the distaff, and her hands grasp the spindle.

For I will rouse into action and bring against Babylon a host of mighty nations ¹  from the land of the north. They will set up their battle lines against her. They will come from the north and capture her. ²  Their arrows will be like a skilled soldier ³  who does not return from the battle empty-handed. ⁴ 

and with him was Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, an artisan, a designer, and an embroiderer in blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and fine linen.

They made two more ¹  gold rings and attached them to the bottom of the two shoulder pieces on the front of the ephod, close to the juncture above the waistband of the ephod.

my bones were not hidden from you, when ¹  I was made in secret and sewed together in the depths of the earth. ² 

Wisdom is supreme ¹  – so ²  acquire wisdom, and whatever you acquire, ³  acquire understanding! ⁴ 

All of them are skilled with a sword, ¹  well-trained in the art of warfare. ²  Each has his sword at his side, to guard against the terrors of the night.

The Lover to His Beloved: (7:2) How beautiful are your sandaled ¹  feet, O nobleman’s daughter! ²  The curves ³  of your thighs ⁴  are like jewels, the work of the hands of a master craftsman.

“Take the harp, go through the city, forgotten prostitute! Play it well, play lots of songs, so you’ll be noticed!” ¹ 

Moab ¹  will spread out its hands in the middle of it, ²  just as a swimmer spreads his hands to swim; the Lord ³  will bring down Moab’s ⁴  pride as it spreads its hands. ⁵ 

By your great skill ¹  in trade you have increased your wealth, and your heart is proud because of your wealth.

Toward the end of their rule, when rebellious acts ¹  are complete, a rash ²  and deceitful ³  king will arise. ⁴ 

So since we are God’s offspring, we should not think the deity ¹  is like gold or silver or stone, an image ²  made by human ³  skill ⁴  and imagination. ⁵ 

God was with the boy as he grew. He lived in the wilderness and became an archer.

The archers will attack him, ¹  they will shoot at him and oppose him.
