Furthermore, I am giving ¹  you what you did not request – riches and honor so that you will be the greatest king of your generation. ² 

The crown of the wise is their riches, ¹  but the folly ²  of fools is folly.

Remove falsehood and lies ¹  far from me; do not give me poverty or riches, feed me with my allotted portion ²  of bread, ³

And my God will supply your every need according to his glorious riches ¹  in Christ Jesus.

Those who long to be rich, however, stumble into temptation and a trap and many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.

But you have dishonored the poor! ¹  Are not the rich oppressing you and dragging you into the courts?

You are the source of wealth and honor; ¹  you rule over all. You possess strength and might to magnify and give strength to all. ² 

Do not trust in what you can gain by oppression! ¹  Do not put false confidence in what you can gain by robbery! ²  If wealth increases, do not become attached to it! ³ 

A good name ¹  is to be chosen ²  rather than great wealth, good favor ³  more than silver or gold.

For there is no distinction between the Jew and the Greek, for the same Lord is Lord of all, who richly blesses all who call on him.

– since the eyes of your ¹  heart have been enlightened ²  – so that you may know what is the hope of his calling, ³  what is the wealth of his glorious ⁴  inheritance in the saints,

Then ¹  the kings of the earth, the ²  very important people, the generals, ³  the rich, the powerful, and everyone, slave ⁴  and free, hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains.

The man became wealthy. ¹  His influence continued to grow ²  until he became very prominent.

Rich people from Tyre ¹  will seek your favor by bringing a gift. ²
