Is your loyal love proclaimed in the grave, or your faithfulness in the place of the dead? ¹ 

Are your amazing deeds experienced ¹  in the dark region, ²  or your deliverance in the land of oblivion? ³ 

The spiritually insensitive do not recognize this; the fool does not understand this. ¹ 

Take notice of this, ¹  you ignorant people! ²  You fools, when will you ever understand?

The nations will respect the reputation of the Lord, ¹  and all the kings of the earth will respect ²  his splendor,

He performed awesome deeds ¹  and acts of judgment ²  in your midst, O Egypt, against Pharaoh and all his servants.

Listen, children, ²  to a father’s instruction, ³  and pay attention so that ⁴  you may gain ⁵  discernment.

and I saw among the naive – I discerned among the youths ¹  – a young man ²  who lacked wisdom. ³ 

Consider the work of God: For who can make straight what he has bent?

This is what I also observed about wisdom on earth, ¹  and it is a great burden ²  to me:

At that time ¹  men will trust in their creator; ²  they will depend on ³  the Holy One of Israel. ⁴ 

“Listen, you deaf ones! Take notice, ¹  you blind ones!

I see the tents of Cushan overwhelmed by trouble; ¹  the tent curtains of the land of Midian are shaking. ² 

When Jesus entered the ruler’s house and saw the flute players and the disorderly crowd,

But Jesus said, “Someone touched me, for I know that power has gone out ¹  from me.”

When Jesus noticed this, ¹  he said, “How hard ²  it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God! ³ 

Then ¹  he told them a parable: “Look at the fig tree and all the other trees. ² 

Now ¹  there was a man named Joseph who was a member of the council, ²  a good and righteous man.

He was in the world, and the world was created ¹  by him, but ²  the world did not recognize ³  him.

Agrippa ¹  said to Paul, “In such a short time are you persuading me to become a Christian?” ²
