Jesus told them this parable, ¹  but they ²  did not understand ³  what he was saying to them.

I have told you now before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe. ¹ 

“I have told you all these things so that you will not fall away. ¹ 

But stand up ¹  and enter the city and you will be told ²  what you must do.”

God had told him, “Through Isaac descendants will carry on your name,” ¹ 

Then ¹  they ²  told me: “You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, ³  languages, and kings.”

She cried on his shoulder ¹  until the party was almost over. ²  Finally, on the seventh day, he told her because she had nagged him so much. ³  Then she told the young men the solution to the riddle. ⁴ 

Jeroboam told his wife, “Disguise ¹  yourself so that people cannot recognize you are Jeroboam’s wife. Then go to Shiloh; Ahijah the prophet, who told me I would rule over this nation, lives there. ² 

But I have told you these things ¹  so that when their time ²  comes, you will remember that I told you about them. ³  “I did not tell you these things from the beginning because I was with you. ⁴ 

Ham, the father of Canaan, ¹  saw his father’s nakedness ²  and told his two brothers who were outside.

Early in the morning ¹  Abimelech summoned ²  all his servants. When he told them about all these things, ³  they ⁴  were terrified.

Joseph ¹  had a dream, ²  and when he told his brothers about it, ³  they hated him even more. ⁴ 

Tamar was told, ¹  “Look, your father-in-law is going up ²  to Timnah to shear his sheep.”

So the chief cupbearer told his dream to Joseph: ¹  “In my dream, there was a vine in front of me.

This is just what I told ¹  Pharaoh: God has shown Pharaoh what he is about to do.

¹ Moses told this ²  to the Israelites, but they did not listen to him ³  because of their discouragement ⁴  and hard labor.

¹ Moses told the leaders ²  of the tribes concerning the Israelites, “This is what ³  the Lord has commanded:

Joshua told the people, “Ritually consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will perform miraculous deeds among you.”

The Lord told Joshua, “See, I am about to defeat Jericho for you, ¹  along with its king and its warriors.

Achan told Joshua, “It is true. I have sinned against the Lord God of Israel in this way: ¹
