Let those delivered by the Lord speak out, ¹  those whom he delivered ²  from the power ³  of the enemy,

Let all the kings of the earth give thanks ¹  to you, O Lord, when they hear the words you speak. ² 

Grab me and rescue me from the power of foreigners, ¹  who speak lies, and make false promises. ² 

Acquire wisdom, acquire understanding; do not forget and do not turn aside from the words I speak. ¹ 

Do not speak in the ears of a fool, ¹  for he will despise the wisdom of your words. ² 

Open your mouth ¹  on behalf of those unable to speak, ²  for the legal rights of all the dying. ³ 

A time to rip, and a time to sew; a time to keep silent, and a time to speak.

The mind that acts rashly will possess discernment ¹  and the tongue that stutters will speak with ease and clarity.

The Lord ¹  began to speak to him ²  in the thirteenth year that Josiah son of Amon ruled over Judah.

“Go down at once ¹  to the potter’s house. I will speak to you further there.” ² 

He said to me, “Son of man, ¹  stand on your feet and I will speak with you.”

He said to me, “Son of man, go to the house of Israel and speak my words to them.

“Son of man, turn toward ¹  Jerusalem ²  and speak out against the sanctuaries. Prophesy against the land of Israel

While he was saying this to me, ¹  I was flat on ²  the ground and unable to speak.

How, sir, am I able to speak with you? ¹  My strength is gone, ²  and I am breathless.”

The city’s rich men think nothing of resorting to violence; ¹  her inhabitants lie, ²  their tongues speak deceptive words. ³ 

I ¹  tell you that on the day of judgment, people will give an account for every worthless word they speak.

¹  Someone ²  told him, “Look, your mother and your brothers are standing outside wanting ³  to speak to you.”

Jesus spoke all these things in parables to the crowds; he did not speak to them without a parable.

“Why does this man speak this way? He is blaspheming! ¹  Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
