But the statement it was credited to him ¹  was not written only for Abraham’s ²  sake,

For if only in this life we have hope in Christ, we should be pitied more than anyone.

For we are concerned about what is right not only before the Lord but also before men. ¹ 

They requested ¹  only that we remember the poor, the very thing I also was eager to do.

For ¹  neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for ²  anything; the only thing that matters is a new creation! ³ 

For it has been granted to you ¹  not only to believe in Christ but also to suffer for him,

Each of you should be concerned ¹  not only ²  about your own interests, but about the interests of others as well. ³ 

Now to the eternal king, ¹  immortal, invisible, the only ²  God, be honor and glory forever and ever! ³  Amen.

but only a certain fearful expectation of judgment and a fury ¹  of fire that will consume God’s enemies. ² 

and said, “‘I solemnly swear by my own name,’ ¹  decrees the Lord, ²  ‘that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son,

Esau said to his father, “Do you have only that one blessing, my father? Bless me too!” ¹  Then Esau wept loudly. ² 

So Jacob worked for seven years to acquire Rachel. ¹  But they seemed like only a few days to him ²  because his love for her was so great. ³ 

Hasn’t he treated us like foreigners? He not only sold us, but completely wasted ¹  the money paid for us! ² 

You will oversee my household, and all my people will submit to your commands. ¹  Only I, the king, will be greater than you. ² 

The frogs will depart from you, your houses, your servants, and your people; they will be left only in the Nile.”

No! ¹  Go, you men ²  only, and serve the Lord, for that ³  is what you want.” ⁴  Then Moses and Aaron ⁵  were driven ⁶  out of Pharaoh’s presence.

Then Pharaoh summoned Moses and said, “Go, serve the Lord – only your flocks and herds will be detained. Even your families ¹  may go with you.”

He must not marry ¹  a widow, a divorced woman, or one profaned by prostitution; he may only take a virgin from his people ²  as a wife.

but if only a few years remain ¹  until the jubilee, he must calculate for himself in keeping with the remaining years and refund it for his redemption.

¹ Now the mixed multitude ²  who were among them craved more desirable foods, ³  and so the Israelites wept again ⁴  and said, “If only we had meat to eat! ⁵
