Now may the Lord direct your hearts toward the love of God ¹  and the endurance of Christ. ² 

As I remember your tears, I long to see you, ¹  so that I may be filled with joy.

Such testimony is true. For this reason rebuke them sharply that they may be healthy in the faith

so that you may not be sluggish, ¹  but imitators of those who through faith and perseverance inherit the promises.

This brings you great joy, ¹  although you may have to suffer ²  for a short time in various trials.

And ¹  yearn ²  like newborn infants for pure, spiritual milk, ³  so that by it you may grow up to ⁴  salvation, ⁵ 

But if he does not listen, take one or two others with you, so that at the testimony of two or three witnesses every matter may be established. ¹ 

But so that you may know ¹  that the Son of Man ²  has authority on earth to forgive sins,” – he said to the paralytic ³  –

He asked him urgently, “My little daughter is near death. Come and lay your hands on her so that she may be healed and live.”

Wherever he enters, tell the owner of the house, ‘The Teacher says, “Where is my guest room where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?”’

so that this generation may be held accountable ¹  for the blood of all the prophets that has been shed since the beginning ²  of the world, ³ 

He will come and destroy ¹  those tenants and give the vineyard to others.” ²  When the people ³  heard this, they said, “May this never happen!” ⁴ 

But stay alert at all times, ¹  praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that must ²  happen, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

and tell the owner of the house, ¹  ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?”’

that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and you will sit ¹  on thrones judging ²  the twelve tribes of Israel.

but I have prayed for you, Simon, ¹  that your faith may not fail. ²  When ³  you have turned back, ⁴  strengthen ⁵  your brothers.”

But the one who practices the truth comes to the light, so that it may be plainly evident that his deeds have been done in God. ¹ 

So they said to him, “Then what miraculous sign will you perform, so that we may see it and believe you? What will you do?

This ¹  is the bread that has come down from heaven, so that a person ²  may eat from it and not die.

So Jesus’ brothers ¹  advised him, “Leave here and go to Judea so your disciples may see your miracles that you are performing. ²
