For the law possesses a shadow of the good things to come but not the reality itself, and is therefore completely unable, by the same sacrifices offered continually, year after year, to perfect those who come to worship. ¹ 

Therefore, remember what you received and heard, ¹  and obey it, ²  and repent. If you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will never ³  know at what hour I will come against ⁴  you.

But John ¹  tried to prevent ²  him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and yet you come to me?”

“Watch out for false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are voracious wolves. ¹ 

They ¹  cried out, “Son of God, leave us alone! ²  Have you come here to torment us before the time?” ³ 

Peter ¹  said to him, ²  “Lord, if it is you, order me to come to you on the water.”

So he said, “Come.” Peter got out of the boat, walked on the water, and came toward Jesus.

The disciples asked him, ¹  “Why then do the experts in the law ²  say that Elijah must come first?”

He sent his slaves ¹  to summon those who had been invited to the banquet, but they would not come.

For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ ¹  and they will mislead many.

But at midnight there was a shout, ‘Look, the bridegroom is here! Come out to meet him.’ ¹ 

But the rest said, “Leave him alone! Let’s see if Elijah will come to save him.” ¹ 

And if Satan rises against himself and is divided, he is not able to stand and his end has come.

Then ¹  they asked him, ²  “Why do the experts in the law ³  say that Elijah must come first?”

The one on the roof ¹  must not come down or go inside to take anything out of his house. ² 

Jesus said to them, “Have you come with swords and clubs to arrest me like you would an outlaw? ¹ 

Now ¹  when evening had already come, since it was the day of preparation (that is, the day before the Sabbath), ² 

“Blessed ¹  be the Lord God of Israel, because he has come to help ²  and has redeemed ³  his people.

For John the Baptist has come ¹  eating no bread and drinking no wine, ²  and you say, ‘He has a demon!’ ³ 

Now on ¹  the next day, when they had come down from the mountain, a large crowd met him.
