In a little while you ¹  will see me no longer; again after a little while, you ²  will see me.” ³ 

This was now the third time Jesus was revealed to the disciples after he was raised from the dead.

After an interval of about three hours, ¹  his wife came in, but she did not know ²  what had happened.

and after taking some food, his strength returned. For several days ¹  he was with the disciples in Damascus,

Then, after they had fasted ¹  and ²  prayed and placed their hands ³  on them, they sent them off.

After ¹  he had destroyed ²  seven nations ³  in the land of Canaan, he gave his people their land as an inheritance. ⁴ 

So after they shook ¹  the dust off their feet ²  in protest against them, they went to Iconium. ³ 

After they had beaten them severely, ¹  they threw them into prison and commanded ²  the jailer to guard them securely.

and came ¹  and apologized to them. After ²  they brought them out, they asked them repeatedly ³  to leave the city.

After they traveled through ¹  Amphipolis ²  and Apollonia, ³  they came to Thessalonica, ⁴  where there was a Jewish synagogue. ⁵ 

except ¹  that the Holy Spirit warns ²  me in town after town ³  that ⁴  imprisonment ⁵  and persecutions ⁶  are waiting for me.

I know that after I am gone ¹  fierce wolves ²  will come in among you, not sparing the flock.

After several years ¹  I came to bring to my people gifts for the poor ²  and to present offerings, ³ 

Then, after conferring with his council, ¹  Festus ²  replied, “You have appealed to Caesar; ³  to Caesar ⁴  you will go!” ⁵ 

After several days had passed, King Agrippa ¹  and Bernice arrived at Caesarea ²  to pay their respects ³  to Festus. ⁴ 

After we had sailed across the open sea ¹  off Cilicia and Pamphylia, ²  we put in ³  at Myra ⁴  in Lycia. ⁵ 

Not long after this, a hurricane-force ¹  wind called the northeaster ²  blew down from the island. ³ 

After this had happened, many of the people on the island who were sick ¹  also came and were healed. ² 

But I will come to you after I have gone through Macedonia – for I will be going through Macedonia –

After God spoke long ago ¹  in various portions ²  and in various ways ³  to our ancestors ⁴  through the prophets,
