No one brings grain offerings or drink offerings to the temple ¹  of the Lord anymore. ²  So the priests, those who serve the Lord, are in mourning.

Now on the first day of the feast of ¹  Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus and said, ²  “Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the Passover?” ³ 

Wherever he enters, tell the owner of the house, ‘The Teacher says, “Where is my guest room where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?”’

So ¹  the disciples left, went ²  into the city, and found things just as he had told them, ³  and they prepared the Passover.

Crumble it in pieces ¹  and pour olive oil on it – it is a grain offering.

Every grain offering of a priest must be a whole offering; it must not be eaten.”

“When a traveler arrived at the rich man’s home, ¹  he did not want to use one of his own sheep or cattle to feed ²  the traveler who had come to visit him. ³  Instead, he took the poor man’s lamb and cooked ⁴  it for the man who had come to visit him.”

We will also bring the first of our coarse meal, of our contributions, of the fruit of every tree, of new wine, and of olive oil to the priests at the storerooms of the temple of our God, along with a tenth of the produce ¹  of our land to the Levites, for the Levites are the ones who collect the tithes in all the cities where we work. ² 

It eats away parts of his skin; ¹  the most terrible death ²  devours his limbs.

then let my wife turn the millstone ¹  for another man, and may other men have sexual relations with her. ² 

so that his life loathes food, and his soul rejects appetizing fare. ¹ 

May he take notice ¹  of your offerings; may he accept ²  your burnt sacrifice! (Selah)

they would have swallowed us alive, when their anger raged against us.

Do not eat the food of a stingy person, ¹  do not crave his delicacies;

It will be the duty of the prince to provide the burnt offerings, the grain offering, and the drink offering at festivals, on the new moons and Sabbaths, at all the appointed feasts of the house of Israel; he will provide the sin offering, the grain offering, the burnt offering, and the peace offerings to make atonement for the house of Israel.

Not counting children and women, ¹  there were four thousand men who ate. ² 

There will be two women grinding grain with a mill; ¹  one will be taken and one left.

There were about four thousand ¹  who ate. ²  Then he dismissed them. ³ 

Then he will show you a large furnished room upstairs. Make preparations there.”

(Now none of those present at the table ¹  understood ²  why Jesus ³  said this to Judas. ⁴
