The Lord writes in the census book of the nations, ¹  “This one was born there.” ²  (Selah)

where the birds make nests, near the evergreens in which the herons live. ¹ 

The ships travel there, and over here swims the whale ¹  you made to play in it.

Indeed, ¹  the leaders sit ²  there on thrones and make legal decisions, on the thrones of the house of David. ³ 

There I will make David strong; ¹  I have determined that my chosen king’s dynasty will continue. ² 

If I were to ascend ¹  to heaven, you would be there. If I were to sprawl out in Sheol, there you would be. ² 

But they do not realize ¹  that the dead ²  are there, that her guests are in the depths of the grave. ³ 

“Go down at once ¹  to the potter’s house. I will speak to you further there.” ² 

There at home they will say, ‘Pharaoh king of Egypt is just a big noise! ¹  He has let the most opportune moment pass by.’ ²

At Adam ¹  they broke ²  the covenant; Oh how ³  they were unfaithful ⁴  to me!

So all the people went to Gilgal, where ¹  they established Saul as king in the Lord’s presence. They offered up peace offerings there in the Lord’s presence. Saul and all the Israelites were very happy.

So the king of Assyria ordered, “Take back one of the priests whom you ¹  deported from there. He must settle there and teach them the requirements of the God of the land.” ² 

the wars you fear will catch up with you there in the land of Egypt. The starvation you are worried about will follow you there to ¹  Egypt. You will die there. ² 

For there on my holy mountain, the high mountain of Israel, declares the sovereign Lord, all the house of Israel will serve me, all of them ¹  in the land. I will accept them there, and there I will seek your contributions and your choice gifts, with all your holy things.

Every living creature which swarms where the river ¹  flows will live; there will be many fish, for these waters flow there. It will become fresh ²  and everything will live where the river flows.

The Lord God planted an orchard ¹  in the east, ²  in Eden; ³  and there he placed the man he had formed. ⁴ 

Now ¹  a river flows ²  from Eden ³  to water the orchard, and from there it divides ⁴  into four headstreams. ⁵
