For a moth will eat away at them like clothes; a clothes moth will devour them like wool. But the vindication I provide ¹  will be permanent; the deliverance I give will last.”

But ¹  all who destroyed you will be destroyed. All your enemies will go into exile. Those who plundered you will be plundered. I will cause those who pillaged you to be pillaged. ² 

He said to me, “Son of man, eat what you see in front of you ¹  – eat this scroll – and then go and speak to the house of Israel.”

Therefore fathers will eat their sons within you, Jerusalem, ¹  and sons will eat their fathers. I will execute judgments on you, and I will scatter any survivors ²  to the winds. ³ 

Only the prince may sit in it to eat a sacrificial meal ¹  before the Lord; he will enter by way of the porch of the gate and will go out by the same way.”

You will have plenty to eat, and your hunger will be fully satisfied; ¹  you will praise the name of the Lord your God, who has acted wondrously in your behalf. My people will never again be put to shame.

The sovereign Lord showed me this: I saw ¹  the sovereign Lord summoning a shower of fire. ²  It consumed the great deep and devoured the fields.

The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat ¹  of the fruit from the trees of the orchard;

It will produce thorns and thistles for you, but you will eat the grain ¹  of the field.

Then you will take ¹  it to your father. Thus he will eat it ²  and ³  bless you before he dies.”

For seven days ¹  you must eat ²  bread made without yeast, and on the seventh day there is to be ³  a festival to the Lord.

In the abundance of your majesty ¹  you have overthrown ²  those who rise up against you. ³  You sent forth ⁴  your wrath; ⁵  it consumed them ⁶  like stubble.

And you must not eat any blood of the birds or the domesticated land animals in any of the places where you live. ¹ 

“‘You must not eat anything with the blood still in it. ¹  You must not practice either divination or soothsaying. ² 

He may eat both the most holy and the holy food of his God,

He must not eat an animal that has died of natural causes ¹  or an animal torn by beasts and thus become unclean by it. I am the Lord.

your cattle, and the wild animals that are in your land – all its produce will be for you ¹  to eat.

“‘The land will give its fruit and you may eat until you are satisfied, ¹  and you may live securely in the land.

You will still be eating stored produce from the previous year ¹  and will have to clean out what is stored from the previous year to make room for new. ² 

and you eat ¹  some of the food of the land, you must offer up a raised offering ²  to the Lord.
