For messengers are coming, heralding disaster, from the city of Dan and from the hills of Ephraim. ¹ 

I looked at the mountains and saw that they were shaking. All the hills were swaying back and forth!

Once again you will plant vineyards on the hills of Samaria. ¹  Those who plant them will once again enjoy their fruit. ² 

For wild animals ¹  are prowling over Mount Zion, which lies desolate.

I will put your flesh on the mountains, and fill the valleys with your maggot-infested carcass. ¹ 

At that time Joshua attacked and eliminated the Anakites from the hill country ¹  – from Hebron, Debir, Anab, and all the hill country of Judah and Israel. ²  Joshua annihilated them and their cities.

He purchased the hill of Samaria ¹  from Shemer for two talents ²  of silver. He launched a construction project there ³  and named the city he built after Shemer, the former owner of the hill of Samaria.

On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives which lies to the east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in half from east to west, leaving a great valley. Half the mountain will move northward and the other half southward. ¹ 

On the seventeenth day of the seventh month, the ark came to rest on one of the mountains of Ararat. ¹ 

and the Horites in their hill country of Seir, as far as El Paran, which is near the desert. ¹ 

You will bring them in ¹  and plant them in the mountain ²  of your inheritance, in the place you made ³  for your residence, O Lord, the sanctuary, O Lord, that your hands have established.

After they journeyed ¹  from Rephidim, they came to the Desert of Sinai, and they camped in the desert; Israel camped there in front of the mountain. ² 

Then Moses went down from the mountain to the people and sanctified the people, and they washed their clothes.

Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet God, and they took their place at the foot of the mountain.

So Moses set out ¹  with ²  Joshua his attendant, and Moses went up the mountain of God.

Now the appearance of the glory of the Lord was like a devouring fire on the top of the mountain in plain view ¹  of the people.

You are to make the altar hollow, out of boards. Just as it was shown you ¹  on the mountain, so they must make it. ² 

These are the commandments which the Lord commanded Moses to tell the Israelites ¹  at Mount Sinai.

¹ Now these are the records ²  of Aaron and Moses when ³  the Lord spoke with Moses on Mount Sinai.

So the Amalekites and the Canaanites who lived in that hill country swooped ¹  down and attacked them ²  as far as Hormah. ³
