so ¹  he thought to himself, ²  ‘What should I do, for I have nowhere to store my crops?’ ³ 

Whoever does not carry his own cross ¹  and follow ²  me cannot be my disciple.

I know ¹  what to do so that when I am put out of management, people will welcome me into their homes.’ ² 

Watch ¹  yourselves! If ²  your brother ³  sins, rebuke him. If ⁴  he repents, forgive him.

Therefore he said, “A nobleman ¹  went to a distant country to receive ²  for himself a kingdom and then return. ³ 

Then ¹  beginning with Moses and all the prophets, ²  he interpreted to them the things written about ³  himself in all the scriptures.

he got up from the meal, removed ¹  his outer clothes, ²  took a towel and tied it around himself. ³ 

and carrying his own cross ¹  he went out to the place called “The Place of the Skull” ²  (called in Aramaic ³  Golgotha). ⁴ 

After this ¹  Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias. ²  Now this is how he did so. ³ 

Then he said to the council, ¹  “Men of Israel, ²  pay close attention to ³  what you are about to do to these men.

and when he had been abandoned, ¹  Pharaoh’s daughter adopted ²  him and brought him up ³  as her own son.

But when the apostles ¹  Barnabas and Paul heard about ²  it, they tore ³  their clothes and rushed out ⁴  into the crowd, shouting, ⁵ 

that you abstain from meat that has been sacrificed to idols ¹  and from blood and from what has been strangled ²  and from sexual immorality. ³  If you keep yourselves from doing these things, ⁴  you will do well. Farewell. ⁵ 

Even from among your own group ¹  men ²  will arise, teaching perversions of the truth ³  to draw the disciples away after them.

So do what ¹  we tell you: We have four men ²  who have taken ³  a vow; ⁴ 

Then Festus ¹  replied that Paul was being kept at Caesarea, ²  and he himself intended to go there ³  shortly.

When we entered Rome, Paul was allowed to live ¹  by himself, with the soldier who was guarding him.

So you too consider yourselves ¹  dead to sin, but ²  alive to God in Christ Jesus.

But we who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak, and not just please ourselves. ¹ 

But because of immoralities, each man should have relations with ¹  his own wife and each woman with ²  her own husband.
