Honest scales and balances ¹  are from the Lord; all the weights ²  in the bag are his handiwork.

Do not honor yourself before the king, and do not stand in the place of great men;

A king brings stability ¹  to a land ²  by justice, but one who exacts tribute ³  tears it down.

י (Yod) Let a person ¹  sit alone in silence, when the Lord ²  is disciplining him. ³ 

And if anyone forces you to go one mile, ¹  go with him two.

“Why do your disciples disobey the tradition of the elders? For they don’t wash their ¹  hands when they eat.” ² 

Then Pilate said to him, “Don’t you hear how many charges they are bringing against you?”

Now ¹  Jesus ²  went home, and a crowd gathered so that they were not able to eat.

Some people standing there said to them, “What are you doing, untying that colt?”

and said, “By what authority ¹  are you doing these things? Or who gave you this authority to do these things?”

But the chief priests stirred up the crowd to have him release ¹  Barabbas instead.

Pilate asked them, “Why? What has he done wrong?” But they shouted more insistently, “Crucify him!”

They ¹  blindfolded him and asked him repeatedly, ²  “Prophesy! Who hit you?” ³ 

They asked him, “Who is the man who said to you, ‘Pick up your mat ¹  and walk’?” ² 

I am not trying to get ¹  praise for myself. ²  There is one who demands ³  it, and he also judges. ⁴ 

Then Pilate ¹  handed him over ²  to them to be crucified.So they took Jesus,

Though ¹  they found ²  no basis ³  for a death sentence, ⁴  they asked Pilate to have him executed.

And I was once alive apart from the law, but with the coming of the commandment sin became alive

So, I find the law that when I want to do good, evil is present with me.

Yet ¹  not even Titus, who was with me, was compelled to be circumcised, although he was a Greek.
