Nathan replied to the king, “You should go ¹  and do whatever you have in mind, ²  for the Lord is with you.”

Nathan said to David, “You should do whatever you have in mind, ¹  for God is with you.”

to do as much as your power ¹  and your plan ²  had decided beforehand ³  would happen.

because ¹  everyone ²  who has been fathered by God ³  conquers ⁴  the world. ⁵ This ⁶  is the conquering power ⁷  that has conquered ⁸  the world: our faith.

Dear friend, ¹  you demonstrate faithfulness ²  by whatever you do for the brothers (even though they are strangers).

I also know that whatever God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it, and nothing taken away from it. God has made it this way, so that men will fear him.

When they arrest you and hand you over for trial, do not worry about what to speak. But say whatever is given you at that time, ¹  for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.

Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under ¹  the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world may be held accountable to God.

But the man who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not do so from faith, and whatever is not from faith is sin. ¹

The rest of the needs for the temple of your God that you may have to supply, ¹  you may do so from the royal treasury.

The clouds ¹  go round in circles, wheeling about according to his plans, to carry out ²  all that he commands them over the face of the whole inhabited world.

But you say, ‘If someone tells his father or mother, “Whatever help you would have received from me is given to God,” ¹ 

For everything that was written in former times was written for our instruction, so that through endurance and through encouragement of the scriptures we may have hope.

Do not be deceived. God will not be made a fool. ¹  For a person ²  will reap what he sows,

because you know that each person, whether slave or free, if he does something good, this ¹  will be rewarded by the Lord.
