The gatekeepers relayed the news to the royal palace. ¹ 

Will you speak wickedly ¹  on God’s behalf? ²  Will you speak deceitfully for him?

He does not allow the wicked to live, ¹  but he gives justice to the poor.

to give you thanks, ¹  and to tell about all your amazing deeds. ² 

Yes, ¹  I confess my wrongdoing, and I am concerned about my sins.

As for me, I will continually tell what you have done; ¹  I will sing praises to the God of Jacob!

so they may proclaim the name of the Lord in Zion, and praise him ¹  in Jerusalem, ² 

I will not die, but live, and I will proclaim what the Lord has done. ¹

But these words seemed like pure nonsense ¹  to them, and they did not believe them.

And they will turn away from hearing the truth, but on the other hand they will turn aside to myths. ¹ 

Make a roof for the ark and finish it, leaving 18 inches ¹  from the top. ²  Put a door in the side of the ark, and make lower, middle, and upper decks.
