Then ¹  the high priest stood up before them ²  and asked Jesus, “Have you no answer? What is this that they are testifying against you?”

Now ¹  Jesus ²  came to Nazareth, ³  where he had been brought up, and went into the synagogue ⁴  on the Sabbath day, as was his custom. ⁵  He ⁶  stood up to read, ⁷ 

As ¹  they were still staring into the sky while he was going, suddenly ²  two men in white clothing stood near them

An adversary ¹  opposed ²  Israel, inciting David to count how many warriors Israel had. ³ 

Then a breath of air ¹  passes ²  by my face; it makes ³  the hair of my flesh stand up.

the young men would see me and step aside, ¹  and the old men would get up and remain standing;

And in the first year of Darius the Mede, I ¹  stood to strengthen him and to provide protection for him.)

Then Moses and Aaron stood before the tent of meeting.

When the living beings moved, the wheels moved, and when they stopped moving, the wheels stopped. ¹  When they rose up from the ground, the wheels rose up from the ground; the wheels rose up beside them because the spirit of the living being was in the wheel.

So they took soot from a furnace and stood before Pharaoh, Moses threw it into the air, and it caused festering boils to break out on both people and animals.

By the blast of your nostrils ¹  the waters were piled up, the flowing water stood upright like a heap, ²  and the deep waters were solidified in the heart of the sea.

So Moses stood at the entrance of the camp and said, “Whoever is for the Lord, come ¹  to me.” ²  All the Levites gathered around him,

Then the Lord came and stood nearby, calling as he had previously done, “Samuel! Samuel!” Samuel replied, “Speak, for your servant is listening!”

Then David crossed to the other side and stood on the top of the hill some distance away; there was a considerable distance between them.

Then the king said to them, “I will do whatever seems best to you.” So the king stayed beside the city gate, while all the army marched out by hundreds and by thousands.

Solomon stood before the altar of the Lord in front of the entire assembly of Israel and spread out his hands toward the sky. ¹ 

He picked up Elijah’s cloak, which had fallen off him, and went back and stood on the shore of the Jordan.

When he came and stood before his master, Elisha asked him, “Where have you been, Gehazi?” He answered, “Your servant hasn’t been anywhere.”

The chief adviser then stood there and called out loudly in the Judahite dialect, ¹  “Listen to the message of the great king, the king of Assyria.

Then a spirit ¹  stepped forward and stood before the Lord. He said, ‘I will deceive him.’ The Lord asked him, ‘How?’
