They stood at their posts according to the regulations outlined in the law of Moses, the man of God. The priests were splashing the blood as the Levites handed it to them. ¹ 

“You came down on Mount Sinai and spoke with them from heaven. You provided them with just judgments, true laws, and good statutes and commandments.

and follows my statutes and observes my regulations by carrying them out. ¹  That man ²  is righteous; he will certainly live, ³  declares the sovereign Lord.

“‘My servant David will be king over them; there will be one shepherd for all of them. They will follow ¹  my regulations and carefully observe my statutes. ² 

“Remember the law of my servant Moses, to whom at Horeb ¹  I gave rules and regulations for all Israel to obey. ² 

He has destroyed ¹  what was against us, a certificate of indebtedness ²  expressed in decrees opposed to us. He has taken it away by nailing it to the cross.

“Therefore this is what the sovereign Lord says: Because you are more arrogant ¹  than the nations around you, ²  you have not followed my statutes and have not carried out my regulations. You have not even ³  carried out the regulations of the nations around you!

When they are ashamed of all that they have done, make known to them the design of the temple, its pattern, its exits and entrances, and its whole design – all its statutes, its entire design, and all its laws; write it all down in their sight, so that they may observe its entire design and all its statutes and do them.

“‘This is the law of the grain offering. The sons of Aaron are to present it ¹  before the Lord in front of the altar,

“This is the law of the diseased person on the day of his purification, when ¹  he is brought to the priest. ² 

This is the law of the one in whom there is a diseased infection, ¹  who does not have sufficient means for his purification.” ² 

to teach when something is unclean and when it is clean. ¹  This is the law for dealing with infectious disease.” ² 

This is the law of the one with a discharge: the one who has a seminal emission ¹  and becomes unclean by it, ² 

and to keep the Lord’s commandments and statutes that I am giving ¹  you today for your own good?

Furthermore, remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and so be careful to observe these statutes.

That day Joshua drew up an agreement ¹  for the people, and he established rules and regulations ²  for them in Shechem.

For I am aware of all his regulations, ¹  and I do not reject his rules. ²
