Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and put it on his son Isaac. Then he took the fire and the knife in his hand, ¹  and the two of them walked on together.

Then Moses took ¹  his wife and sons ²  and put them on a donkey and headed back ³  to the land of Egypt, and Moses took the staff of God in his hand.

He took his staff in his hand, picked out five smooth stones from the stream, placed them in the pouch ¹  of his shepherd’s bag, took his sling in hand, and approached the Philistine.

King Ahaz took off the frames of the movable stands, and removed the basins from them. He took “The Sea” ¹  down from the bronze bulls that supported it ²  and put it on the pavement.

David took the crown from the head of their king ¹  and wore it ²  (its weight was a talent ³  of gold and it was set with precious stones). He took a large amount of plunder from the city.

King Shishak of Egypt attacked Jerusalem and took away the treasures of the Lord’s temple and of the royal palace; he took everything, including the gold shields that Solomon had made.

Then one of the cherubim ¹  stretched out his hand ²  toward the fire which was among the cherubim. He took some and put it into the hands of the man dressed in linen, who took it and left.

They took soundings ¹  and found the water was twenty fathoms ²  deep; when they had sailed a little farther ³  they took soundings again and found it was fifteen fathoms ⁴  deep.

Then she gave birth ¹  to his brother Abel. ²  Abel took care of the flocks, while Cain cultivated the ground. ³ 

They also took Abram’s nephew ¹  Lot and his possessions when ²  they left, for Lot ³  was living in Sodom. ⁴ 

Abraham took some sheep and cattle and gave them to Abimelech. The two of them made a treaty. ¹ 

Then God took note of ¹  Rachel. He paid attention to her and enabled her to become pregnant. ² 

They killed Hamor and his son Shechem with the sword, took Dinah from Shechem’s house, and left.

They took their flocks, herds, and donkeys, as well as everything in the city and in the surrounding fields. ¹ 

So they took Joseph’s tunic, killed a young goat, ¹  and dipped the tunic in the blood.

Soon after these things, his master’s wife took notice of ¹  Joseph and said, “Have sex with me.” ² 

They took forty days, for that is the full time needed for embalming. ¹  The Egyptians mourned ²  for him seventy days. ³ 

Then Moses took the anointing oil and anointed the tabernacle and everything in it, and so consecrated them. ¹ 

So Moses took the redemption money ¹  from those who were in excess of those redeemed by the Levites.

So the whole community took him outside the camp and stoned him to death, ¹  just as the Lord commanded Moses.
