The prophets ¹  will be ashamed; the omen readers will be humiliated. All of them will cover their mouths, ²  for they will receive no divine oracles.” ³ 

For by the standard you judge you will be judged, and the measure you use will be the measure you receive. ¹ 

And he said to them, “Take care about what you hear. The measure you use will be the measure you receive, ¹  and more will be added to you.

Wherever ¹  they do not receive you, ²  as you leave that town, ³  shake the dust off ⁴  your feet as a testimony against them.”

That ¹  servant who knew his master’s will but did not get ready or do what his master asked ²  will receive a severe beating.

Everything that the Father has is mine; that is why I said the Spirit ¹  will receive from me what is mine ²  and will tell it to you. ³ 

Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive it, ¹  so that your joy may be complete.

This one ¹  heaven must ²  receive until the time all things are restored, ³  which God declared ⁴  from times long ago ⁵  through his holy prophets.

and said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” ¹  They replied, ²  “No, we have not even ³  heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

For you did not receive the spirit of slavery leading again to fear, ¹  but you received the Spirit of adoption, ²  by whom ³  we cry, “Abba, Father.”

so they too have now been disobedient in order that, by the mercy shown to you, they too may now ¹  receive mercy.

(for rulers cause no fear for good conduct but for bad). Do you desire not to fear authority? Do good and you will receive its commendation,

The unbeliever ¹  does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him. And he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The one who plants and the one who waters work as one, ¹  but each will receive his reward according to his work.

Each competitor must exercise self-control in everything. They do it to receive a perishable crown, but we an imperishable one.

If I give away everything I own, and if I give over my body in order to boast, ¹  but do not have love, I receive no benefit.

For I did not receive it or learn it from any human source; ¹  instead I received it ²  by a revelation of Jesus Christ. ³ 

in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham would come to the Gentiles, ¹  so that we could receive the promise of the Spirit by faith.

and ¹  whatever we ask we receive from him, because ²  we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing to him.

If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house and do not give him any greeting, ¹
