He was thirty-two years old when he became king and he reigned for eight years in Jerusalem. ¹ 

When David was old and approaching the end of his life, ¹  he made his son Solomon king over Israel.

The Levites who were thirty years old and up were counted; there were 38,000 men. ¹ 

They cast lots, both young and old, according to their families, to determine which gate they would be responsible for. ¹ 

He died at a good old age, having enjoyed long life, wealth, and honor. ¹  His son Solomon succeeded him.

Jehoram was thirty-two years old when he became king and he reigned for eight years in Jerusalem. ¹ 

He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned for sixteen years in Jerusalem.

Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned for fifty-five years in Jerusalem. ¹ 

Amon was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned for two years in Jerusalem. ¹ 

Josiah was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned for thirty-one years in Jerusalem. ¹ 

Jehoahaz was twenty-three years old when he became king, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem.

Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he became king, and he ruled for eleven years in Jerusalem. ¹ 

Although its roots may grow old ¹  in the ground and its stump begins to die ²  in the soil, ³ 

“Surely you know ¹  that it has been from old, ever since humankind was placed ²  on the earth,

the young men would see me and step aside, ¹  and the old men would get up and remain standing;

They bear fruit even when they are old; they are filled with vitality and have many leaves. ¹ 

I recall the old days; ¹  I meditate on all you have done; I reflect on your accomplishments. ² 

The glory ¹  of young men is their strength, and the splendor ²  of old men is gray hair. ³ 

Listen to your father who begot you, and do not despise your mother when she is old.

Do not say, “Why were the old days better than these days?” ¹  for it is not wise to ask that. ²
