But he said to them, “I have food to eat that you know nothing about.”

Then ¹  a voice said ²  to him, “Get up, Peter; slaughter ³  and eat!”

I also heard a voice saying to me, ‘Get up, Peter; slaughter ¹  and eat!’

Eat anything that is sold in the marketplace without questions of conscience,

So then, my brothers and sisters, ¹  when you come together to eat, wait for one another.

This is how you are to eat it – dressed to travel, ¹  your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. You are to eat it in haste. It is the Lord’s Passover. ² 

They are to eat those things by which atonement was made ¹  to consecrate and to set them apart, but no one else ²  may eat them, for they are holy.

Then the king asked her, “What’s your problem?” She answered, “This woman said to me, ‘Hand over your son; we’ll eat him today and then eat my son tomorrow.’

They will all be left ¹  for the birds of the hills and the wild animals; ²  the birds will eat them during the summer, and all the wild animals will eat them during the winter.

Therefore fathers will eat their sons within you, Jerusalem, ¹  and sons will eat their fathers. I will execute judgments on you, and I will scatter any survivors ²  to the winds. ³
