these are only ¹  the shadow of the things to come, but the reality ²  is Christ! ³ 

For the appeal we make ¹  does not come ²  from error or impurity or with deceit,

I hope to come to you soon, but I am writing these instructions ¹  to you

Until I come, give attention to the public reading of scripture, ¹  to exhortation, to teaching.

But understand this, that in the last days difficult ¹  times will come.

For when the priesthood changes, a change in the law must come ¹  as well.

For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come.

Such ¹  wisdom does not come ²  from above but is earthly, natural, ³  demonic.

Come now, you rich! Weep and cry aloud ¹  over the miseries that are coming on you.

Then ¹  when the Lamb ²  opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come!”

because the great day of their ¹  wrath has come, and who is able to withstand it?” ² 

The second woe has come and gone; ¹  the third is coming quickly.

The ¹  nations ²  were enraged, but ³  your wrath has come, and the time has come for the dead to be judged, and the time has come to give to your servants, ⁴  the prophets, their reward, as well as to the saints and to those who revere ⁵  your name, both small and great, and the time has come ⁶  to destroy those who destroy ⁷  the earth.”

He ¹  performed momentous signs, even making fire come down from heaven in front of people ² 

Then ¹  Jesus said to the chief priests, the officers of the temple guard, ²  and the elders who had come out to get him, “Have you come out with swords and clubs like you would against an outlaw? ³ 

When he heard that Jesus had come back from Judea to Galilee, he went to him and begged him ¹  to come down and heal his son, who was about to die.

Jesus replied, ¹  “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come from God and am now here. ²  I ³  have not come on my own initiative, ⁴  but he ⁵  sent me.

I have certainly seen the suffering ¹  of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their groaning, and I have come down to rescue them. ²  Now ³  come, I will send you to Egypt.’ ⁴ 

With regard to our brother Apollos: I strongly encouraged him to visit you with the other brothers, ¹  but it was simply not his intention to come now. ²  He will come when he has the opportunity.

But now Christ has come ¹  as the high priest of the good things to come. He passed through the greater and more perfect tent not made with hands, that is, not of this creation,
