“Bring the tribe of Levi near, ¹  and present ²  them before Aaron the priest, that they may serve him. ³ 

So you are to appoint Aaron and his sons, and they will be responsible for their priesthood; ¹  but the unauthorized person ²  who comes near must be put to death.”

Now the head of all the Levitical leaders ¹  was Eleazar son of Aaron the priest. He was appointed over those who were responsible ²  for the sanctuary.

You are to have the Levites stand before Aaron ¹  and his sons, and then offer them as a wave offering to the Lord.

The sons of Aaron, the priests, must blow the trumpets; and they will be to you for an eternal ordinance throughout your generations.

And the Lord came down in a pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance of the tent; he then called Aaron and Miriam, and they both came forward.

Then Aaron returned to Moses at the entrance of the tent of meeting, and the plague was stopped.

And there was no water for the community, and so they gathered themselves together against Moses and Aaron.

Take Aaron and Eleazar his son, and bring them up on Mount Hor.

When you have seen it, you will be gathered ¹  to your ancestors, ²  as Aaron your brother was gathered to his ancestors. ³ 

The Lord was also angry enough at Aaron to kill him, but at that time I prayed for him ¹  too.

They were assigned to the Kohathite clans of the Levites who were descendants of Aaron, ¹  for the first lot belonged to them.

The priests descended from Aaron received thirteen cities and their grazing areas.

These were the descendants of Aaron: His son Eleazar, his son Phinehas, his son Abishua,

But as for us, the Lord is our God and we have not rejected him. Aaron’s descendants serve as the Lord’s priests and the Levites assist them with the work. ¹ 

who was the son of Abishua, who was the son of Phinehas, who was the son of Eleazar, who was the son of Aaron the chief priest.

The Lord takes notice of us, ¹  he will bless ²  – he will bless the family ³  of Israel, he will bless the family of Aaron.

O family ¹  of Israel, praise the Lord! O family of Aaron, praise the Lord!

“You are to put the Urim and the Thummim ¹  into the breastpiece of decision; and they are to be over Aaron’s heart when he goes in before the Lord. Aaron is to bear the decisions ²  of the Israelites over his heart before the Lord continually.

It will be on Aaron’s forehead, and Aaron will bear the iniquity of the holy things, ¹  which the Israelites are to sanctify by all their holy gifts; ²  it will always be on his forehead, for their acceptance ³  before the Lord.
