Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his loyal love endures. ² 

to the one who performs magnificent, amazing deeds all by himself, for his loyal love endures,

to the one who spread out the earth over the water, for his loyal love endures,

the sun to rule by day, for his loyal love endures,

the moon and stars to rule by night, for his loyal love endures,

with a strong hand and an outstretched arm, for his loyal love endures,

to the one who divided ¹  the Red Sea ²  in two, ³  for his loyal love endures,

and tossed ¹  Pharaoh and his army into the Red Sea, for his loyal love endures,

to the one who gives food to all living things, ¹  for his loyal love endures.

Every day I will praise you! I will praise your name continually! ¹ 

He established them so they would endure; ¹  he issued a decree that will not be revoked. ² 

The righteous will never be moved, but the wicked will not inhabit the land. ¹ 

for riches do not last ¹  forever, nor does a crown last ²  from generation to generation.

A generation comes ¹  and a generation goes, ²  but the earth remains ³  the same ⁴  through the ages. ⁵ 

The grass dries up, the flowers wither, but the decree of our God is forever reliable.” ¹ 

But you, O Lord, reign forever; your throne endures from generation to generation.

“Because ¹  you violently slaughtered ²  your relatives, ³  the people of Jacob, ⁴  shame will cover you, and you will be destroyed ⁵  forever.

You must not seek peace and prosperity for them through all the ages to come.

Therefore Naaman’s skin disease will afflict ¹  you and your descendants forever!” When Gehazi ²  went out from his presence, his skin was as white as snow. ³ 

For David said, “The Lord God of Israel has given his people rest and has permanently settled in Jerusalem. ¹
