He did not remove the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night from before the people. ¹ 

Now the appearance of the glory of the Lord was like a devouring fire on the top of the mountain in plain view ¹  of the people.

So I said to them, ‘Whoever has gold, break it off.’ So they gave it ¹  to me, and I threw it into the fire, and this calf came out.” ² 

A continual fire must be kept burning on the altar. It must not be extinguished.

So fire went out from the presence of the Lord ¹  and consumed them so that they died before the Lord.

It must be eaten on the day of your sacrifice and on the following day, ¹  but what is left over until the third day must be burned up. ² 

If a daughter of a priest profanes herself by engaging in prostitution, she is profaning her father. She must be burned to death. ¹ 

When the people cried to Moses, he ¹  prayed to the Lord, and the fire died out. ² 

So he called the name of that place Taberah ¹  because there the fire of the Lord burned among them.

Then a fire ¹  went out from the Lord and devoured the 250 men who offered incense.

They burned ¹  all their towns ²  where they lived and all their encampments.

Have a people ever heard the voice of God speaking from the middle of fire, as you yourselves have, and lived to tell about it?

There must never be found among you anyone who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, ¹  anyone who practices divination, ²  an omen reader, ³  a soothsayer, ⁴  a sorcerer, ⁵ 

Abimelech came and attacked the tower. When he approached the entrance of the tower to set it on fire,

When David and his men came to the city, they found it burned. ¹  Their wives, sons, and daughters had been taken captive.

Smoke ascended from ¹  his nose; ²  fire devoured as it came from his mouth; ³  he hurled down fiery coals. ⁴ 

The one who touches them must use an iron instrument or the wooden shaft of a spear. They are completely burned up right where they lie!” ¹ 

Total darkness waits to receive his treasures; ¹  a fire which has not been kindled ²  will consume him and devour what is left in his tent.

For it is a fire that devours even to Destruction, ¹  and it would uproot ²  all my harvest.

May the Lord rain down ¹  burning coals ²  and brimstone ³  on the wicked! A whirlwind is what they deserve! ⁴
