Jesus responded, ¹  “Didn’t I tell you that if you believe, you would see the glory of God?”

They replied, ¹  “If this man ²  were not a criminal, ³  we would not have handed him over to you.” ⁴ 

Jesus replied, ¹  “Are you saying this on your own initiative, ²  or have others told you about me?”

But stand up ¹  and enter the city and you will be told ²  what you must do.”

So do what ¹  we tell you: We have four men ²  who have taken ³  a vow; ⁴ 

Were you called as a slave? ¹  Do not worry about it. But if indeed you are able to be free, make the most of the opportunity.

For everything made evident is light, and for this reason it says: ¹  “Awake, ²  O sleeper! ³  Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you!” ⁴ 

no longer as a slave, ¹  but more than a slave, as a dear brother. He is especially so to me, and even more so to you now, both humanly speaking ²  and in the Lord.

Since I was confident that you would obey, I wrote to you, because I knew that you would do even more than ¹  what I am asking you to do.

so that your gift may be in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you. ¹ 

Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go; just as you believed, it will be done for you.” And the servant ¹  was healed at that hour.

They ¹  cried out, “Son of God, leave us alone! ²  Have you come here to torment us before the time?” ³ 

If ¹  he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. If ²  he refuses to listen to the church, treat him like ³  a Gentile ⁴  or a tax collector. ⁵ 

Then his lord called the first slave ¹  and said to him, ‘Evil slave! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me!

Then Peter said ¹  to him, “Look, ²  we have left everything to follow you! ³  What then will there be for us?”

“Tell the people of Zion, ¹  ‘Look, your king is coming to you, unassuming and seated on a donkey, and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.’” ² 

Now on the first day of the feast of ¹  Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus and said, ²  “Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the Passover?” ³ 

Jesus said to him, “I tell you the truth, ¹  on this night, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.”

Peter said to him, “Even if I must die with you, I will never deny you.” And all the disciples said the same thing.

“Leave us alone, ¹  Jesus the Nazarene! Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are – the Holy One ²  of God!”
