Now ¹  Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, ²  and the crowd was pressing around him ³  to hear the word of God.

He ¹  saw two boats by the lake, but the fishermen had gotten out of them and were washing their nets.

Then ¹  he came up ²  and touched ³  the bier, ⁴  and those who carried it stood still. He ⁵  said, “Young man, I say to you, get up!”

But I tell you most certainly, ¹  there are some standing here who will not ²  experience ³  death before they see the kingdom of God.” ⁴ 

So ¹  if ²  Satan too is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? I ask you this because ³  you claim that I cast out demons by Beelzebul.

But stay alert at all times, ¹  praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that must ²  happen, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

And all those who knew Jesus ¹  stood at a distance, and the women who had followed him from Galilee saw ²  these things.

Thus they were looking for Jesus, ¹  and saying to one another as they stood in the temple courts, ²  “What do you think? That he won’t come to the feast?”

The crowd that stood there and heard the voice ¹  said that it had thundered. Others said that an angel had spoken to him. ² 

They replied, ¹  “Jesus the Nazarene.” He told them, “I am he.” (Now Judas, the one who betrayed him, was standing there with them.) ² 

When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, ¹  but she did not know that it was Jesus.

When it was already very early morning, Jesus stood on the beach, but the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.

He ¹  jumped up, ²  stood and began walking around, and he entered the temple courts ³  with them, walking and leaping and praising God.

“We found the jail locked securely and the guards standing at the doors, but when we opened them, ¹  we found no one inside.”

They brought forward false witnesses who said, “This man does not stop saying things against this holy place ¹  and the law. ² 

But the Lord said to him, ‘Take the sandals off your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy ground. ¹ 

But Stephen, ¹  full ²  of the Holy Spirit, looked intently ³  toward heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing ⁴  at the right hand of God.

“Look!” he said. ¹  “I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”

Then he fell ¹  to his knees and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them!” ²  When ³  he had said this, he died. ⁴ 

So he ordered the chariot to stop, and both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, ¹  and Philip baptized ²  him.
