On the eighth day ¹  Moses summoned ²  Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel,

You must not eat from their meat and you must not touch their carcasses; ¹  they are unclean to you.

“‘By these ¹  you defile yourselves; anyone who touches their carcass will be unclean until the evening,

If ¹  it is spreading further ²  on the skin, then the priest is to pronounce him unclean. ³  It is an infection.

“When a man’s head is bare so that he is balding in back, ¹  he is clean.

“This is the law of the diseased person on the day of his purification, when ¹  he is brought to the priest. ² 

This is the law of the one in whom there is a diseased infection, ¹  who does not have sufficient means for his purification.” ² 

Anyone who enters ¹  the house all the days the priest ²  has quarantined it will be unclean until evening.

to teach when something is unclean and when it is clean. ¹  This is the law for dealing with infectious disease.” ² 

Anyone who touches his bed ¹  must wash his clothes, bathe in water, and be unclean until evening. ² 

On the ceremonially pure lampstand ¹  he must arrange the lamps before the Lord continually.

And whatever the unclean person touches will be unclean, and the person who touches it will be unclean until evening.’”

You must wash your clothes on the seventh day, and you will be ceremonially clean, and afterward you may enter the camp.’”

but whatever does not have fins and scales you may not eat; it is ritually impure to you.

Now David, wearing a linen ephod, was dancing with all his strength before the Lord. ¹ 

Then I gave instructions that the storerooms should be purified, and I brought back the equipment ¹  of the temple of God, along with the grain offering and the incense.

Sprinkle me ¹  with water ²  and I will be pure; ³  wash me ⁴  and I will be whiter than snow. ⁵ 

After a priest ¹  has become ceremonially clean, they ²  must count off a period of seven days for him.

The ¹  next day (which is after the day of preparation) the chief priests and the Pharisees ²  assembled before Pilate

And they saw that some of Jesus’ disciples ate their bread with unclean hands, that is, unwashed.
