“I said, ‘I want to cut them in pieces. ¹  I want to make people forget they ever existed.

For tyrants will disappear, those who taunt will vanish, and all those who love to do wrong will be eliminated ¹  –

So David’s servants went and spoke all these words to Nabal in David’s name. Then they paused.

Stop trusting in human beings, whose life’s breath is in their nostrils. For why should they be given special consideration?
