because you will not leave my soul in Hades, ¹  nor permit your Holy One to experience ²  decay.

Paul answered, ¹  “I am a Jew ²  from Tarsus in Cilicia, a citizen of an important city. ³  Please ⁴  allow me to speak to the people.”

“All things are lawful for me” ¹  – but not everything is beneficial. “All things are lawful for me” – but I will not be controlled by anything.

They allow their children to run ¹  like a flock; their little ones dance about.

He does not allow the wicked to live, ¹  but he gives justice to the poor.

Who is allowed to ascend ¹  the mountain of the Lord? ²  Who may go up to his holy dwelling place?

O Lord, how long will the wicked, how long will the wicked celebrate? ¹
