So they stayed there ¹  for a considerable time, speaking out courageously for the Lord, who testified ²  to the message ³  of his grace, granting miraculous signs ⁴  and wonders to be performed through their hands.

The whole group kept quiet ¹  and listened to Barnabas and Paul while they explained all the miraculous signs ²  and wonders God had done among the Gentiles through them.

Indeed, the signs of an apostle were performed among you with great perseverance ¹  by signs and wonders and powerful deeds. ² 

You are the God who does amazing things; you have revealed your strength among the nations.

They forgot what he had done, ¹  the amazing things he had shown them.

when he performed his awesome deeds ¹  in Egypt, and his acts of judgment ²  in the region of Zoan.

You did miracles and amazing deeds in the land of Egypt which have had lasting effect. By this means you gained both in Israel and among humankind a renown that lasts to this day. ¹ 

You used your mighty power and your great strength to perform miracles and amazing deeds and to bring great terror on the Egyptians. By this means you brought your people Israel out of the land of Egypt. ¹ 

He rescues and delivers and performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power ¹  of the lions!”

while God confirmed their witness ¹  with signs and wonders and various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed ²  according to his will.

“Pay attention to this, Job! Stand still and consider the wonders God works.

Do you know about the balancing ¹  of the clouds, that wondrous activity of him who is perfect in knowledge?

Despite all this, they continued to sin, and did not trust him to do amazing things. ¹ 

“Something horrible and shocking is going on in the land of Judah:

“Men of Israel, ¹  listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man clearly attested to you by God with powerful deeds, ²  wonders, and miraculous signs ³  that God performed among you through him, just as you yourselves know –

The Lord said to Moses, “Pharaoh will not listen to you, so that my wonders ¹  may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.”

I grieve over you, my brother Jonathan! You were very dear to me. Your love was more special to me than the love of women.

Many are appalled when they see me, ¹  but you are my secure shelter.

Therefore I will again do an amazing thing for these people – an absolutely extraordinary deed. ¹  Wise men will have nothing to say, the sages will have no explanations.” ² 

and all who heard it were astonished ¹  at what the shepherds said.
