I wish you all spoke in tongues, but even more that you would prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets so that the church may be strengthened.

But if only God would speak, ¹  if only he would open his lips against you, ² 

But I wish to speak ¹  to the Almighty, ²  and I desire to argue ³  my case ⁴  with God.

Look, I am just like you in relation to God; I too have been molded ¹  from clay.

I say, ¹  “I wish I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and settle in a safe place!

She is more precious than rubies, and none of the things ¹  you desire ²  can compare ³  with her. ⁴ 

Take what is yours and go. I ¹  want to give to this last man ²  the same as I gave to you.

But it is not this way among you. Instead whoever wants to be great among you must be your servant,

For you are bringing some surprising things ¹  to our ears, so we want to know what they ²  mean.”

All the brothers and sisters ¹  send greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss.

I have many things to write to you, but I do not wish to write to you with ¹  pen and ink. ² 

If a resident foreigner is living ¹  with you – or whoever is among you ²  in future generations ³  – and prepares an offering made by fire as a pleasing aroma to the Lord, he must do it the same way you are to do it. ⁴ 

So Haman came in, and the king said to him, “What should be done for the man whom the king wishes to honor?” Haman thought to himself, ¹  “Who is it that the king would want to honor more than me?”

As you enter the house, give it greetings. ¹ 

But the one who boasts must boast in the Lord. ¹ 

For even if I wish to boast, I will not be a fool, for I would be telling ¹  the truth, but I refrain from this so that no one may regard ²  me beyond what he sees in me or what he hears from me,

May those who are trying to snatch away my life be totally embarrassed and ashamed! ¹  May those who want to harm me be turned back and ashamed! ² 

However, I will leave some of these wicked people alive and banish them to other places. But wherever these people who survive may go, they will wish they had died rather than lived,” ¹  says the Lord who rules over all. ² 

Then ¹  Jesus answered her, “Woman, ²  your faith is great! Let what you want be done for you.” And her daughter was healed from that hour.

The wind ¹  blows wherever it will, and you hear the sound it makes, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” ²
