You will not eat anything made with yeast; in all the places where you live you must eat bread made without yeast.’”

On the sixth day ¹  they will prepare what they bring in, and it will be twice as much as they gather every other day.” ² 

Their relatives, who lived in their settlements, came from time to time and served with them for seven-day periods.

Create for me a pure heart, O God! ¹  Renew a resolute spirit within me! ² 

May a curse attach itself to him, like a garment one puts on, ¹  or a belt ²  one wears continually!

There is a generation who are pure in their own eyes and yet are not washed ¹  from their filthiness. ² 

Now ¹  while Zechariah ²  was serving as priest before God when his division was on duty, ³ 

(Now it was the day of preparation ¹  for the Passover, about noon. ² ) ³  Pilate ⁴  said to the Jewish leaders, ⁵  “Look, here is your king!”

Now ¹  when the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place.

On the next Sabbath almost the whole city assembled together to hear the word of the Lord. ¹ 

Eight days later the disciples were again together in the house, ¹  and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were locked, ²  Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!”

For in seven days ¹  I will cause it to rain ²  on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the ground every living thing that I have made.”

He waited another seven days and sent the dove out again, ¹  but it did not return to him this time. ² 

But Rebekah’s ¹  brother and her mother replied, “Let the girl stay with us a few more days, perhaps ten. Then she can go.”

In six days ¹  work may be done, but on the seventh day there must be a holy day ²  for you, a Sabbath of complete rest to the Lord. ³  Anyone who does work on it will be put to death.

The entire assembly then decided to celebrate for seven more days; so they joyfully celebrated for seven more days.

I also gave them my Sabbaths ¹  as a reminder of our relationship, ²  so that they would know that I, the Lord, sanctify them. ³ 

Now I have come to help you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision pertains to future days.”

I will put an end to all her celebration: her annual religious festivals, monthly new moon celebrations, and weekly Sabbath festivities – all her appointed festivals.

Now on the first day of the feast of ¹  Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus and said, ²  “Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the Passover?” ³
