I will give you sincere thanks, ¹  when I learn your just regulations.

Do good, O Lord, to those who are good, to the morally upright! ¹ 

for one who goes astray ¹  is an abomination ²  to the Lord, but he reveals ³  his intimate counsel ⁴  to the upright.

The one who walks in his uprightness fears the Lord, ¹  but the one who is perverted in his ways ²  despises him.

Fools mock ¹  at reparation, ²  but among the upright there is favor. ³ 

¹ The way of the righteous is level, the path of the righteous that you make is straight. ² 

Those who live uprightly enter a place of peace; they rest on their beds. ¹ 

The one who leads the upright astray in an evil way will himself fall into his own pit, ¹  but the blameless will inherit what is good. ² 

The way of the sluggard is like a hedge of thorns, ¹  but the path of the upright is like ²  a highway. ³ 

if you become ¹  pure ²  and upright, ³  even now he will rouse himself ⁴  for you, and will restore ⁵  your righteous abode. ⁶ 

This alone have I discovered: God made humankind upright, but they have sought many evil schemes.

You prove to be loyal ¹  to one who is faithful; ²  you prove to be trustworthy ³  to one who is innocent. ⁴ 

If there is an angel beside him, one mediator ¹  out of a thousand, to tell a person what constitutes his uprightness; ²

Look, the one whose desires are not upright will faint from exhaustion, ¹  but the person of integrity ²  will live ³  because of his faithfulness. ⁴ 

² There was a man ³  in the land of Uz ⁴  whose ⁵  name was Job. ⁶  And that man was pure ⁷  and upright, ⁸  one who feared God and turned away from evil. ⁹ 

He judges the world fairly; he makes just legal decisions for the nations. ¹ 

For look, the wicked ¹  prepare ²  their bows, ³  they put their arrows on the strings, to shoot in the darkness ⁴  at the morally upright. ⁵ 

Evil men draw their swords and prepare their bows, to bring down ¹  the oppressed and needy, and to slaughter those who are godly. ² 

The Lord watches over the innocent day by day ¹  and they possess a permanent inheritance. ²
