The bottom floor of the extension was seven and a half feet ¹  wide, the middle floor nine feet ²  wide, and the third floor ten and a half ³  feet wide. He made ledges ⁴  on the temple’s outer walls so the beams would not have to be inserted into the walls. ⁵ 

Lord, you give me stability and prosperity; ¹  you make my future secure. ² 

Even if ¹  he trips, he will not fall headlong, ²  for the Lord holds ³  his hand.

The Lord supports ¹  him on his sickbed; you completely heal him from his illness. ² 

Look, God is my deliverer! ¹  The Lord is among those who support me. ² 

My hand will support him, ¹  and my arm will strengthen him.

¹ The Lord supports all who fall, and lifts up all who are bent over. ² 

In the same way the Lord commanded those who proclaim the gospel to receive their living by the gospel.

begging us with great earnestness for the blessing and fellowship of helping ¹  the saints.

King Ahaz took off the frames of the movable stands, and removed the basins from them. He took “The Sea” ¹  down from the bronze bulls that supported it ²  and put it on the pavement.

After the crew ¹  had hoisted it aboard, ²  they used supports ³  to undergird the ship. Fearing they would run aground ⁴  on the Syrtis, ⁵  they lowered the sea anchor, ⁶  thus letting themselves be driven along.

Honor ¹  widows who are truly in need. ²

He engraved ornamental cherubs, lions, and palm trees on the plates of the supports and frames wherever there was room, ¹  with wreaths ²  all around.

Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and Jeshua the son of Jozadak began ¹  to rebuild the temple of God in Jerusalem. The prophets of God were with them, supporting them.

and Joanna the wife of Cuza ¹  (Herod’s ²  household manager), ³  Susanna, and many others who provided for them ⁴  out of their own resources.

And we urge you, brothers and sisters, ¹  admonish the undisciplined, comfort the discouraged, help the weak, be patient toward all.

No widow should be put on the list ¹  unless ²  she is at least sixty years old, was the wife of one husband, ³ 

Ahithophel replied to Absalom, “Have sex with ¹  your father’s concubines whom he left to care for the palace. All Israel will hear that you have made yourself repulsive to your father. Then your followers will be motivated to support you.” ²
